Pastor (Dr.) Henry Olayiwola Ojo, JP
‎President, Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas.

‎Pastor (Dr.) Henry Olayiwola Ojo, JP, is the President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas. He is a seasoned servant of God, visionary leader, passionate shepherd, and committed church planter dedicated to the spiritual growth, unity, and advancement of the Church.

‎He was born on April 4, 1960, in Oyan near Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, into the family of Pa Hamza Oyeniran Ojo and Deaconess Dorcas Eniola Ojo. Though his father was not a Christian, he was raised in the Christian faith through the godly influence of his mother.

‎Educational Background and Early Life
‎Pastor Ojo began his primary education around the age of five and completed it at C.A.C. Primary School, Oyan, in 1970. Due to financial challenges, he could not immediately proceed to secondary school. He worked as a house help in Osogbo and Ikirun and later assisted his elder brother on a cocoa plantation in Ago-Oru, Ile-Ife.

‎In 1976, he relocated to Lagos in search of better opportunities and worked as a sales boy in the timber market at Omu Palm Avenue, Olorunshogo. Through diligence and God’s favor, he later established his own building materials business.

‎Driven by a passion for self-development, he enrolled at Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School and obtained his G.C.E. certificate. He later gained admission into C.A.C. Theological Seminary in 1988 and graduated in 1990.

‎In addition, he undertook studies in the T-NET (Teleo University) course as part of his continuous ministerial and theological development and obtained Master degree

‎Conversion and Christian Experience
‎In 1979, he had a life-transforming encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ at Four Square Gospel Church, Oniwaya Road, Agege, Lagos. This marked the beginning of his passionate commitment to evangelism and discipleship.

‎Despite running a growing business, he frequently closed his shop to engage in soul-winning, visitation, and follow-up ministry. His burden for souls led him to join the GO-YE Ministry, where he attended GO-YE Bible School and graduated in 1980. Under the leadership of Reverend Timothy A. Iyanda, the ministry later joined Christ Apostolic Church.

‎Ministerial Journey
‎Pastor (Dr.) Ojo began his full-time ministerial work in 1981.

‎In 1983, he was sent to Rivers State as a Catechist to work with Pastor J. O. Alokan, marking a significant phase of his ministerial assignment within Christ Apostolic Church.

‎He served in several rural communities, including Indoki, Eveku, Allu, and other villages in Rivers State. He is widely recognized as a committed church planter who planted many churches across Rivers State. Notably, he never claimed any assembly as personal property; all churches established under his leadership were planted strictly for Christ Apostolic Church.

‎Through his missionary zeal, administrative discipline, and strategic leadership, the work expanded remarkably. From the foundational assemblies of Christ Apostolic Church (Supreme Council) in Rivers State — C.A.C. Rumuogba, C.A.C. Rumuomasi, and C.A.C. Eliowhani — the ministry grew significantly.

‎From the period he served as District Superintendent and later as Chairman, Rivers DCC, the number of vibrant churches under his leadership increased to over forty assemblies across the state by the time of his appointment as President.

‎His ordination, initially scheduled for 1990, was delayed due to church crisis but was eventually conducted in 1991.

‎Over the years, he has served in various ministerial and administrative capacities, demonstrating humility, courage, integrity, and visionary leadership.
